Computer Virus
A living virus trapped inside the infinite void of a computer. Scientists have it contained with the use of colorful chemicals, but for how long can it be held?

The fun part about this project was getting to disassemble a computer. Once I had all the parts out I installed the back mirror, made of an acrylic panel and mirror film, and an LED light strip along the inside. I ran the cord for the LEDs out of the back of the computer.
I took the buttons out from underside of the computer and used the space to add fish tank tubing which holds the "chemicals," which is just dyed water.
The virus was inspired by mushrooms and biblical imagery of angels. I had to keep in mind while designing it that it had to be flat so it could fit inside the computer.
After gluing the virus in place and adding the front mirror, the computer was ready to be put back together. The cracks on the front mirror panel were carved using an x-acto knife.
