Project Brief

With a specific location and time period in mind, design and create a model of a set for a production of Romeo and Juliet.

 

Concept Statement

In a post-apocalyptic world a war is being waged by the Montagues and Capulets over land that has become borderless. The world is broken, much like the two families.  The set is a blank white, both a slate wiped clean and a reminder of innocence. The red seeping between the tiles serves as a reminder that the effects of death cannot be completely wiped away. The vague architecture of the set allows for both interior and exterior settings.
