Design a set for a production based on a children's story or fable of your choosing.

Concept Statement

This set design was based loosely off of Hans Christian Anderson's "The Little Mermaid." The shoreline of the ocean inspired this design, the bridge between land and sea. It symbolizes the struggle of the little mermaid, as she longs to be on land but is ultimately destined to be in the ocean. This design features elements inspired by things found along a shore, such as the tidal pool stairs and the barnacle covered pier.
